INFRA-SPEC® is the first tool of its kind for assisting specifying engineers in the sizing and selection of infrared heating systems. By answering a few simple questions about the building you are trying to heat, INFRA-SPEC® will tell you how large of a heating system you need, and help you step through the process of selecting equipment.  INFRA-SPEC® will also give you a brief cost comparison of conventional heating versus infrared heating.

After you have answered the questions, INFRA-SPEC® will present you with a quality specification, perfect for presenting to your customer. All you have to do is hit the print button!

Load Calculation

The INFRA-SPEC® application will make inquiries for certain basic information including the base temperature, i.e. the desired indoor winter temperature as with any forced air heating system.

The application also processes an Annual Fuel Cost Comparison! It will compare forced air heating systems to our radiant tube heaters. The program will ask for an estimated fuel cost, if it is unknown a default value will be used.

Equipment Selection

If you already have calculated heat loss, you can skip ahead to select the proper equipment for the job. The INFRA-SPEC® application does not select equipment models and sizes. The specifier makes those choices. Our program makes it easy to create a heating equipment solution by providing the data needed to determine equipment sizing. Our "Installation and Service Manuals" are also online.
